good insightsVenus is one of the known traditional benefics in Astrology. Jupiter is the main one.
If I want an opposition in synastry, it would be with Venus,Jupiter,Moon.
also opposition is the aspect corresponds with Libra and the 7th house too
remember that the Descendant is opposite the Ascendant.
conjunction corresponds with Aries and the 1st house
furthermore,
geometrical aspect configurations have to be taken into account
if you have a grand trine, and a person's planet makes an opposition to one of those planets, then you have a synastry kite, and that's one of the beneficial configurations too. The planet is also sextiling the 2 other planets.
on the other hand
if you have a t-square, and a person's planet makes an opposition to the apex planet in a t-square, then you have a synastry grand cross which is the most challenging aspect configuration.
some people believe that a grand cross like that can be beneficial because they believe that the planet that makes an opposition is a 4th leg and so completes the t-square which is seen as having 3 legs with the 4th one adding stability
the thing if a t-square is tight orbed to begin with, the apex planet is in opposition to the midpoint of the 2 planets squaring it.
for example:
I have Moon in 3'11 Pisces in 7th
my Saturn is 5'08 Gemini R in 10th
my Neptune is in 1'48 Sagittarius in 4th
(I prefer wholesigns now.)
therefore my Moon opposes Saturn/Neptune midpoint in 3'28 Virgo
I don't need a 4th leg to my t-square. My Saturn/Neptune midpoint in Virgo is already activated.
I definitely don't want another Mars,Saturn, outerplanets, and transneptunians opposing my Moon.
